During the cold months, we all know there is nothing better than a soft sweater! It is comfortable, fashionable, and warm. A popular variant of a sweater is a poncho, which can be open faced or closed. I love ponchos because they can be easily layered and look slightly more formal than a fitted sweater.

My favorite way to style a poncho is with casual accessories. I love wearing a hat with a poncho, and I chose a brown hat here to match my Madewell boots and the blue in my Abercrombie jeans and Pia Rossini poncho.
I like wearing a plain shirt under a poncho so it compliments the poncho’s pattern. I always wear a long sleeve shirt underneath. Here I wore white, but I could have also worn a tan, gray, or light blue shirt. This Target shirt fits so well and comes in so many colors! I pretty much always tuck in my shirts, especially with high-waisted jeans. I think it flatters the curves better and looks a little neater with the poncho.
This Madewell bag (linked below) is my favorite bag for carrying everything I need. It is the perfect size, matches with everything, and Madewell also gives you the option to add engraving for free! The Anthropologie ponchos are all neutrals that will work from season to season and will not go out of style. These are the most expensive (over $100), but they will last a long time and look fashionable with blue, white, and black jeans and leggings.
