Where the Most Popular Mural in Chicago Is

I live in Chicago, a.k.a. the Second City, the Windy City, CHI-town, or any other crazy names you can come up with!  My husband and I have lived here for almost a year and we have SO MUCH fun exploring!  Look out for upcoming posts highlighting our favorite sights, restaurants, stores and more ☺

One thing that immediately caught my eye in Chicago was the sheer amount of street art and murals in each neighborhood!  One of my inspirations for starting this blog was finding a fun way to capture the beauty and creativity in this city.  Any time I take a picture of a mural, I’ll make sure to share the location and artist (if known) so you can take pictures on your next Chicago trip!

This “Welcome to Chicago” mural is in a neighborhood close to my apartment.  We drove by it so many times that I decided I needed a photo of it!  The wall is located in the Logan Square neighborhood at 2226 N Milwaukee Street.  The artists are Victor Ving and Lisa Beggs.

This mural is VERY popular and I even had to wait in a line to take pictures.  We do it for the gram, right?  LOL.

I can’t say enough good things about this dress by Solace London!  Full disclosure, it is definitely formal and best for a gala or black tie wedding.  However, I loved the constrast between the gritty graffiti and the fancy gown! And it’s available to rent on Rent the Runway, woo hoo!

As a shorty at 5’2”, this dress is the PERFECT length.  I’m typically a regular at the tailor to make sure skirts and pants aren’t too long, but this dress needed no alterations.  Score!
I don’t usually gravitate towards yellow, but this color was so flattering while also making a statement.  I decided to pair with red earrings and gold heels (linked below) and a red lip for a fun contrast. The asymmetrical sleeve with the “cape effect” made me feel like I could walk a red carpet, but instead, I decided to work it in front of the graffiti ☺
